Ingredients
  • 1 large stock/sauce pot
  • 4 -12 eggs
  • 1 tsp vinegar (optional)
  • water
Instructions
  1. Gently place eggs in a SINGLE LAYER in the bottom of the stock pot.
  2. Fill pot with water until there is at least 1-2 inches of water covering the eggs (maybe even an inch more if you are doing a full dozen eggs at once).
  3. You can add 1 tsp of vinegar to the water to help keep the whites from running out if the egg does crack.
  4. Place over medium heat and bring to a rolling boil.
  5. As soon as the water starts to boil, turn off the heat but leave the pot on the hot burner, COVER and let sit for 12 mins.
  6. Strain out the hot water and rinse the eggs in cool water to stop them from cooking. If you are cooking a large batch of eggs, gently remove the eggs with a slotted spoon and place them into a bowl of ice water to cool them faster.
  7. After the eggs are cooled you can peel them and eat them! Yay!
